It all started when...
Bud Murphy hung his shingle on a remodeled trolley barn in German Village, Columbus, Ohio in 1947.
Bud became friends with businesses in the graphic arts industry who needed a local and reliable supplier. As a solutions provider with business systems, technology and graphic arts, The Murphy Company flourished. With founding principles to exceed customer expectations as the most dependable, highest quality and value added supplier in the industry, all the while providing excellent service.
The success of The Murphy Company in business and a culture of family values is based on a spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship that carries through three generations.
The Murphy Company, MC Technology & Logistics and Murphy Company in name today, has worked tirelessly to pivot within the massive shift in today's business landscape, and the new industrial age that is upon us.
MC is focused on providing sales solutions to its customers, while expanding to support the startup community as a partner to their sales efforts. With a long pedigree of representing some of the best brand names in business from Apple, Hewlett Packard, Adobe to Kodak and Olympus to name a few, MC is a optimal partner.
In remaining competitive, MC has learned to operate more efficiently and leaner from its days of seventy plus staff members. But its entrepreneurial drive and willingness to support the growth of the Franklinton Innovation Neighborhood presented an opportunity.
In continuing to pass down 70 years of knowledge and experience and serve as beacon in Columbus and Franlinton, the Murphy Building, has joined with its strategic partner, Autonomy Hub. With over 33,000 sq. ft. of interior office, coworking, function, event warehouse space with almost another 30,000 sq. ft. of outdoor space for us.
The Murphy Building compliments the Franklinton community with its neighbors: Idea Foundry, largest maker space in the United States; Smart City Columbus HQ; Franklinton Arts District; 400 West Rich coworking space; Glass Axis to name a few.
"We are proud to contribute to this truly amazing community of startups, entrepreneurs, makers and autonomists. With the Murphy family taking the risks only entrepreneurs can understand, they helped provide the backbone for growth in the City of Columbus and Franklinton. Autonomy Hub is honored to work within the walls of the Murphy Building to harness the energy for continued innovation and making Franklinton and the City of Columbus, the model for Smart Cities in the U.S. and a hub for creating future companies and jobs right here in Franklinton," Loren Stone, spokesperson for Murphy Company and Autonomy Hub.
